Jon Warren is a senior consultant. He is a chartered electrical engineer with significant experience in the nuclear and pharmaceutical industries. Jon joined Oakland Consulting to lead Carbon Ready – Oakland’s subsidiary specialising in climate change and carbon management.

Jon commenced his career at BNFL Sellafield working on Technical Projects whilst completing his Masters degree at Durham University. Following this Jon joined AstraZeneca working at the Macclesfield and Bristol sites. Experience included running four busy production assets, supporting lean implementation and introducing an energy metering and targeting system. Jon completed an MBA in Maastricht and wrote a thesis on global management attitudes to environmental policy before joining Oakland in 2008.

Jon has since gained accreditation as a Carbon Trust consultant and is a Carbon Trust Standard Assessor. Jon regularly speaks at conference on the ‘Low-Carbon Landscape’ helping organisations to consider what challenges and opportunities the move to a low-carbon economy will bring.

Jon has led numerous programme of work across industry and the public sector. He has transferred Oakland’s quality and systematic approaches to performance improvement in the field of carbon management. Programmes have included developing policy, communication plans, carbon labelling initiatives, successfully implementing low-carbon technologies and developing behavioural change programmes.
