Paul Slater is an Executive Director. Working as a management consultant for over 15 years, Paul's speciality is in helping organisations to understand how they can get the very best out of their people and processes. He has led projects in both the private and public sectors in the UK, Europe, Japan and US. His sector focus is on service based organisations and in particular the NHS and Financial Services. During his time at Oakland Paul has led successful change programmes in clients in Utilities and Energy, Insurance and in the NHS. These included simplifying the products and processes of an insurer to enable the replacement of an aging IT platform, implementing a Transformation Programme for a primary care trust, and reengineering several global HR processes for a petrochemical company.

Prior to joining Oakland, Paul worked for Accenture in their Process and Change Management Service Lines. His Accenture projects ranged from bid managing the NHS NPfIT (East of England), to establishing new organisations from scratch during the dot-com period, to designing and managing a behavioural change programme in a large central government agency. Whilst undertaking a full-time MBA at LUBS, he was the MBA Society Chairman and won the annual Barclays Bank Business Plan award.
