Case Studies

Shell Services International
Operational Excellence
SSI retained Oakland Consulting to help in the transformation from an internal service provider to a fully-fledged company in the Shell family. The early part of this work was carried out in partnership with Booz-Allen Hamilton. The work involved the development of a business framework based on best practice from the Booz-Allen Hamilton Knowledge on Line System and the research findings of the European Centre for Business Excellence, the research division of Oakland Consulting. The framework was used to baseline SSI to identify the strategic and operational gaps that needed to be addressed for SSI to achieve its vision of being recognised as a world leader in integrated solutions. As a result of this exercise, several key strategic projects were launched.
