For EADS Defence Electronics, providing timely and accurate customer quotations is a critical factor in winning new business. The Engineering Order Centre provide this service and, in turn, depend heavily on input from several departments to compile these often complex quotes.At the start of the project less than 50 per cent of internal offers were on-time and at acceptable cost, causing large risks for the business.
