Colin Chapman is a Principal Consultant with extensive experience of helping complex global organisations to achieve sustained performance improvement.

Colin has over 20 years’ experience of successfully leading a diverse range of challenging consulting assignments, including the design and implementation of change management and large-scale transformation programmes for global companies as well as major performance review and improvement projects within several large UK Central Government bodies.

After graduating, Colin began a career in Quality and Operational management within the UK nuclear power programme later moving into shipbuilding where he led the implementation of a national programme to embed a culture of continuous improvement and deliver significant savings to support the privatisation of the UK Nationalised Shipbuilding Industry.

Colin then moved into consultancy initially with Deloitte before becoming a Principal Consultant with Oakland Consulting. During his consulting career Colin has managed major assignments in large, multinational companies as well as many medium-sized organisations to re-engineer business processes, develop and deploy strategic initiatives and apply advanced quality measurement and improvement techniques to achieve step changes in organisational performance.

Most recently Colin has led the development of an innovative approach to the measurement of the Total Cost of Quality which has delivered dramatic reductions in the costs of internal and external failures across a wide range of organisations, including pharmaceuticals, electronics and leading edge renewable energy companies.
